As the foundation of the future Army, soldiers will uphold the warrior ethos that values the protection of the free democratic system as the most valuable ideal. Soldiers will embody the five values of the Army,the spirit of the officers, creed of the soldier and consistently build the warrior spirit as it will result in developing the mental culture that will uphold military morale as well as a sense of history and traditions.
Build a leadership culture that is people-oriented
Based on mutual respect and consideration, the Army will foster a people-oriented leadership that inspires self-regulation and responsibility. Soldiers will be imbued with basic warrior order and discipline. Officers will be empowered for maximum independence and responsibility. Officers will value the concerns and interests of the soldiers and devote their best efforts for duty and maintain open-minded to harness the full potential of the soldiers through a transparent leadership culture.
Uplift professionalism and improve the service culture that values efficiency and productivity.
The Army will raise the satisfaction level of the service by strengthening professionalism in the service and enable them to serve in the Army with dignity and self-respect throughout their terms. Moreover, the Army will build enjoyable working environments and culture through discarding non-efficient and non-productive methods while improving efficiency and productivity.
Build a barracks culture that embodies self-regulation, responsibility and creativity.
The Army will encourage mutual respect and consideration among soldiers and eliminate negative traditions within the barracks culture to promote harmonized, energized barracks. The Army will install legal and systematic environment to protect the basic rights of the soldiers, build a nurturing environment for battalions and lower units, and develop barracks culture that will support the soldier's pursuit of self-improvement programs and hobby-sharing groups while maintaining strict discipline.
Actively engage in activities of national interest and the welfare of citizens.
The Army will actively support the national disaster recovery activities in conjunction with civilian, government and military cooperation, and lead the national agenda by actively engaging in environmental protection activities. The Army will engage in policy development to jointly promote the advancement of local governments and the military, and provide friendly citizen service to gain the trust and support of the citizens creating a "trusted Army" in the hearts of the people.
