I am General Park, Jeong Hwan, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Army.

The Republic of Korea Army has incessantly endeavored to fulfill its mission entrusted by this age, safeguarding the peace and freedom of our nation with our strong power.

With our important future ahead, we promise to continue to commit ourselves to the calling of this age and carry on our noble history, with the goal of establishing the "Strong Army, Proud Army" at which our men and women are treated with dignity and enjoy the world-class welfare, while strong discipline is embodied in everything we do.

In order to do so, the Republic of Korea Army will equip ourselves with strong spirit and willpower, maintain adequate capabilities and posture with which we can fight and win upon the foundation of ironclad ROK-US Alliance, and protect our nation and people more securely than ever.
